Lily Larimar hasn't been able to get any sleep since she moved into a rather spooky new house with her stepmother (Kenzie Taylor). Sometimes Kenzie attempts to comfort her, but Lily says she's okay. She will get over this! Isn't she a big girl now? However, Kenzie wants to console Lily for more reasons than just her stepdaughter—she has a major crush on her! Kenzie starts working on a strategy to woo Lily. She assures her stepdaughter that they will select a movie to watch that isn't terrifying and extends an invitation to watch. However, Kenzie ultimately succeeds in duping Lily into viewing a scary film by selecting one that appears harmless. She's hoping Lily would get so terrified that she will have to jump into her stepmother's arms. Even though Lily eventually becomes afraid, the plot fails, and she retreats to her room. But Kenzie is not done yet; she has one more move. Lily becomes so alarmed by her spooky noises coming through the walls of her bedroom that she calls Kenzie into her bed. Lily had no idea that Kenzie was the real cause of all the jump scares, but Kenzie is eager to oblige. Lily still can't settle down enough to sleep, so they cuddle in bed. Well, Kenzie DOES have ONE suggestion that could ease Lily's tension. What the doctor ordered can be a little "hump" in the night!
